Meet Maya Raquel Smith! Maya is a New York City based singer, actor, dancer, and songwriter. Some of her favorite roles she has performed in include Sour Kangaroo (Suessical), Tracy Turnblad (Hairspray), and Dragon (Shrek: The Musical) and the classical performance pieces “Rejoice Greatly” and “Panis Angelicus.” 

With experience as a classically trained vocalist, Maya has worked not only on the stage as a triple threat musical theater performer but also as a vocal coach, director, dance captain, and choreographer under Kings Park Dance Center and Rock and Roll U. 

Maya graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy Conservatory Integrated Musical Theater program. Additionally, as a multiracial performer Maya is comfortable working in English and Spanish and can quickly pick up accents and dialects.
